Evidence-Based, Soul-Deep: My Therapeutic Approach
Talking about trauma can sometimes re-traumatize. That’s why I use advanced, evidence-based modalities that go beyond traditional talk therapy to heal the brain and body at a deep, neurological level. My approach is integrative, pulling from the most effective treatments for PTSD, complex trauma, and anxiety disorders.
My Core Modalities for Deep Healing:
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
A gold-standard, extensively researched trauma treatment. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess traumatic memories, moving them from a place of raw, emotional activation to a place of calm resolution. It’s highly effective for both single-incident trauma and complex PTSD.
Brainspotting
A powerful, brain-body-based therapy that locates points in your visual field to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. Brainspotting can often reach places that words can’t, providing deep release for trauma, anxiety, and creative blocks.
IFS Therapy (Internal Family Systems) & Parts Work
IFS is a transformative, evidence-based model that helps you understand and heal the different "parts" of your internal world. We’ll work with your protective parts and exile wounded inner children, all while accessing your core, compassionate Self. This modality is incredibly powerful for self-compassion.
CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)
A highly structured, evidence-based trauma treatment that helps you identify and challenge the "stuck points" or negative beliefs (like “I am broken” or “The world is completely unsafe”) that trauma embeds in your thinking. CPT gives you concrete skills to change how you view yourself, others, and the world.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Learn to regulate your nervous system by bringing gentle, present-moment awareness to your body’s sensations. This is the foundational practice for managing anxiety and building a sense of internal safety outside our sessions.
